Why Feed Lucerne Pellets?

Lucerne, also known as alfalfa, is widely used in equine feeding because it naturally provides fibre, protein and important nutrients.

Pelleting lucerne provides a convenient and consistent way to incorporate it into a horse's feeding programme while retaining its value as a forage-based ingredient.

Spurwing Lucerne Pellets can be particularly useful for owners looking for a grain-free, soya-free and molasses-free feed option.

Ideal For

• Horses and ponies requiring additional forage-based nutrition.
• Horses needing additional quality protein in their diet.
• Horses on grain-free feeding programmes.
• Horses requiring soya-free feeds.
• Owners wanting to avoid added molasses.
• Performance and working horses where additional protein is appropriate.
• Older horses where a pelleted forage source may be useful.
• Horses requiring a convenient lucerne/alfalfa product.
• Yards feeding multiple horses.

Individual feeding requirements vary considerably, so suitability should always be considered within the horse's complete diet.
