The Safe-on Junior offers the same features as it’s big brother, the Flex-on Safe-on Stirrup Irons. Resized for children, it combines comfort, performance and safety.

The Safe-on is designed to reduce the risk of a riders foot getting stuck in the event of a fall, leading to them being dragged or stood on. The outer arm of the stirrup will release the foot when the riders weight is applied upon it.

The irons have integrated elastomer shock absorbers to relieve pressure from the rider’s joints.

The slightly off-set stirrup leather slot & inclined foot bed improves contact with the horse and optimises comfort.

Safe-on Junior is designed for children in weight range 15-40kg.

Take note:

• The stirrup requires at least 15kg of weight acting on the outer arm for it to trigger in the case of a fall.
• A rider weighing greater than 40kg is likely to trigger the outer arm to open without cause.
• It is unlikely for the outer arm to release should the rider fall when the pony is standing still and will only open if the weight is placed against it.
