Doggobone - Happy Chappi Chicken Chow

Doggobone Happy Chappi Chicken Chow is a raw complementary meal for dogs, made with finely ground chicken and duck heads and feet, together with vegetables, fruit and phytonutrients.

It offers dog owners a convenient way to add variety to a raw feeding programme using animal-based ingredients combined with plant-based ingredients.

Importantly, Doggobone classifies Chicken Chow as a complementary meal rather than a complete and balanced meal, so it should be fed alongside an appropriately balanced diet to meet the dog's full daily nutritional requirements.

Complementary Feeding

Doggobone lists Chicken Chow within its Complementary Meals range. A complementary meal is intended to be fed in conjunction with a complete and balanced diet so that the dog's overall nutritional requirements are met.

This distinction is worth making very clear on the Whinny & Woof product page, particularly because Doggobone also produces a separate range of Complete & Balanced Meals.

Feeding & Storage

Doggobone provides a feeding calculator because the amount required varies according to the individual animal.

For handling frozen Doggobone raw food, the manufacturer advises removing the food from its plastic packaging while frozen, thawing it in a container in the refrigerator and serving the thawed product within two days. Doggobone advises against microwave or hot-water thawing.

Important

This is a complementary raw meal, not a complete and balanced meal. It should be incorporated into an appropriately balanced feeding programme.

Raw pet food should be stored, thawed and handled hygienically. Dogs with medical conditions or special nutritional requirements should have dietary changes discussed with their veterinarian.
