Trojan Vitamax Pellets 40kg

Trojan Vitamax Pellets are a highly concentrated, low-protein sport balancer formulated to provide horses and ponies with essential vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, organic trace minerals and amino acids at a relatively low daily feeding rate.

With a 12% protein content, added fats, no added molasses and no added grains, Vitamax is particularly suited to good-doer sport horses, horses in recovery or rest, and riding school ponies that require concentrated nutritional support without feeding large quantities of conventional concentrate.

The formulation is described as providing nutrient concentrations up to five times higher than regular commercial concentrates, allowing a typical daily intake of just 1–1.5kg per horse according to the supplied feeding information.

Ideal For

• Good-doer horses and ponies.
• Sport horses requiring a concentrated ration.
• Riding school horses and ponies.
• Horses receiving relatively small concentrate meals.
• Horses during periods of reduced work or rest.
• Horses returning to work or recovering condition where this type of ration is appropriate.
• Owners wanting a feed with no added grains or molasses.
• Feeding programmes requiring concentrated vitamins, minerals and amino acids without large concentrate portions.

Why Use a Concentrated Balancer?

Some horses maintain body condition easily and do not require the large quantities of concentrate that harder-working or poorer-doing horses may need.

The difficulty with simply reducing a conventional concentrate ration is that doing so can also reduce the amount of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and other nutrients supplied by the feed.

A concentrated balancer such as Trojan Vitamax is designed to provide these nutrients at a lower daily intake, making it particularly useful for good doers and horses whose energy requirements do not justify larger concentrate meals.

Feeding Guide

The supplied feeding information recommends:

1–1.5kg per horse per day

The appropriate quantity will depend on the individual horse, including its bodyweight, workload, forage, body condition and the rest of the feeding programme.

Introduce new feeds gradually and provide good-quality forage and constant access to clean, fresh water.

For individual feeding advice, particularly for horses with specific nutritional or veterinary requirements, consult an equine nutritionist or veterinarian.

No Added Grains or Molasses

Trojan Vitamax Pellets are formulated with:

No added grains
No added molasses

This can make Vitamax a useful option when selecting a concentrated balancer for horses whose feeding programme is designed to avoid added grain or molasses.

This should not be interpreted as meaning the complete product is necessarily sugar-free or starch-free; refer to the manufacturer's current nutritional analysis where these values are required.
