Horse Treat Ball

The Horse Treat Ball is an interactive hay and forage feeder ball designed to encourage natural foraging behaviour while providing horses with additional enrichment in the stable, paddock or yard.

Simply fill the ball with suitable hay or forage and allow your horse to push, roll and manipulate it to access the contents. This creates a more engaging feeding experience than feeding forage from a conventional pile or feeder and can help keep horses occupied for longer periods.

Its slow-feeding design encourages horses to work for their forage, making it particularly useful for stable enrichment and boredom reduction.

Available in Red, Light Green, Dark Green, Orange, Blue and Yellow.

How It Works

Fill the Horse Treat Ball with suitable hay or forage through the appropriate opening.

As the horse pushes and rolls the ball, small amounts of forage become accessible through the feeding openings. This encourages the horse to interact with the feeder rather than consuming all of the available forage from one stationary pile.

Slow Feeding & Enrichment

Horses naturally spend a significant proportion of their time searching for and consuming forage.

An interactive forage feeder can make feeding more engaging and time-consuming, encouraging the horse to move and investigate the ball to obtain its food.

It can be particularly useful as one component of a broader enrichment programme for horses spending time in a stable.

Important

Introduce interactive feeders under supervision and ensure your horse is comfortable using the product.

Use the ball in an area free from hazards where it cannot become trapped or create an unsafe situation. Inspect it regularly and discontinue use if it becomes cracked, damaged or develops sharp edges.

A slow feeder should complement an appropriate forage and feeding programme rather than unnecessarily restricting a horse's access to forage.
